He is one of the most influential and successful artists in the Nigerian music industry and has gained international recognition for his work. Davido is also one of the richest artist in Nigeria. David Adedeji Adeleke is his real name, popularly known as Davido.
In 2016, Davido announced his signing to Sony Music and later Sony’s RCA Records, moves that many saw as positive strives towards a bigger international push. Shortly afterwards, he founded Davido Music Worldwide (DMW)

Early Life and Education
Davido was born on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, to Nigerian parents, Adedeji Adeleke, a business magnate, and Vero Adeleke, a university lecturer. He grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, and attended the British International School.
Later, Davido moved to the United States to study business administration at Oakwood University in Alabama. While at Oakwood University, Davido developed an interest in music and started working on his vocals. He eventually dropped out of university and relocated to London to focus on his music career.
